Now we’re going to use Spanish the way people really speak it.
🗣️ Dropping the Subject
In real Spanish, you don’t always say the subject.
- Yo hablo español.
- Hablo español.
Both are correct. The shorter version sounds more natural.
🧠 Why This Works
The verb ending already tells us who is doing the action.
- hablo = I speak
- trabajas = you work
- vivimos = we live
So Spanish often drops the subject.
🚫 Making It Negative
To say not, just put no before the verb.
- No trabajo los domingos.
- No vivo en México.
- No estudio francés.
❓ Asking Simple Questions
You can often make a question just by changing your voice tone:
- ¿Trabajas aquí?
- ¿Vives aquí?
- ¿Estudias español?
